When I was walking my dog today, this happened to me while I was waiting at the crosswalk

Okay maybe I’m being dramatic. But I seriously thought this only happened in tv commercials! Just my luck … lol

Two of my favorite things

Back in 2011, I applied for my first full time job as a customer sales representative for a small company. After that, I only applied to other customer service jobs because I thought they were the only jobs I qualified for. So here I am, two years later… at another customer service gig. There are days where I feel like my patience is running dry. One day, while complaining to my dad, he told me an epic story. You see, my dad is a waiter. He’s served all kinds of morons and divas for 30 years. On one particular day, my dad got a customer that asked him to explain what beef and broccoli was. Beef… and broccoli… The name is self-explanatory! My dad was about to lose his marbles but he simply replied that it was a dish of chopped up beef sauteed with broccoli in a brown sauce. After hearing this story, I thought to myself if my dad can handle 30 years of such shenanigans, I can try harder to survive at my job.

Today, I applied for another position in another department. I hope I get it! But if not, I think I can tough it out until another opportunity comes up.  Because ever since my dad’s story, whenever I get an idiot on the other side of the line, I just think “beef and broccoli…” lol
